Benson Area Community Education, with the help of parent volunteers, will again provide a traveling elementary basketball program for girls in grades 2 – 6.  Ideally, there will be one team per grade.  However, based on registration numbers, grades may be combined.



 

Parent volunteers will conduct practices.   Be prepared for after school, evening and/or weekend practices.  Practices will focus on basketball fundamentals. Due to limited gym space and time, practices may be scheduled differently each week. As practices, scrimmages, half time play and tournaments are scheduled participants will be notified in advance as to the particulars.

 

Sportsmanship,fun, and fair play opportunities will be the prevailing principles adhered to for practices, scrimmages and/or tournaments as part of the scheduled Community Education events.

 

Cost is:

$60 for Grades 2-4

$80 for Grades 5-6

Includes:

*Benson Braves Sweatshirt - must be registered by October 31st

*a jersey to wear to tournaments and scrimmages. This jersey must be returned at the end of the season.

*5th and 6th grades teams get entrance into the Midwest Youth Basketball League starting late November.
